Will The Angels let me Play

"STEPS TO SECURITY"

To Momere,
If you will type the title of the song
in the search bar, you will find lots of places
where, "Will the Angels Let Me Play?"
is found. It will be given in sheet music, on
eBay, or individual places and you will be
able to purchase a copy.
Glad for your comment, and I, too,
will try to get a copy.
Some use, "cripple" and some
use, "little". Either one fits well with
the rest of the song.
Neat to find someone who also
has been touched by that memory.
I would like a bio of yourself, if you
care to give it.
Other comments will be welcome.

Temptation

Somone has mentioned that, "Temptation" might make a good blog, so here we are. Have you found the other blogs helpful? Do you comment on them? What would be your response? I have been looking for your responses, but have not seen any. And you
know what?

I am tempted to quit!! That's right!! One reason I want to blog is so others may be able to identify with my experiences and see the way out to resist temptation! Does that tell us what temptation is? Well, maybe not exactly, so let's investigate.

I go to the restaurant and am wanting to choose something to eat. So I look at the menu and find there a list of juicy, poignant, tender looking, T-bone steaks... Steaks are expensive, and large. But this is something I've been wanting for a long time. However, my wallet is thin, I have meds to buy, bills to pay, birthdays in the family coming ever so often. I must pay the fellow who has just cleaned out my garage, and, you know ever so many legitamate things that are necessary and must be taken care of; but, before me is the beautiful, mouth-watering picture of this steak. To be honest, and thrifty, I cannot afford to buy that steak. I am tempted to go ahead and get it because I'm hungry and my mouth is drooling, and I must order. Temptation has become my struggle. So what do I do? If I really care about being sensible, I will resist that desire, and turn to another item which really fits my wallet, and perhaps be better for my being. I have won over that temptation. That took power, strength, and courage, but I became victor over something that could have caused me to suffer.

Not only in choosing steak, but temptation comes to us in many different ways. At home, at work, at school, at play, whereever we are at any given moment. Temptation is what is happening that would entice us to act beyond what we know we should....

Some of the more serious temptations come as we have given our lives to Jesus, and made Him the Master of our lives. We are tempted to stay home, rather than go to church. We may be tempted to swear, hate, or hurt someone. We are tempted to be jealous, to envy another's position, or possessions. All a part of walking perfectly before the Lord Jesus.

So what do we do to be victor over any temptation? We have one of the greatest examples in our Lord Jesus!! Remember the incident after He had been baptized? Satan led Him into the wilderness and then tempted Him 3 times. How did Jesus
overcome? He applied the Word of God, to reist those 3 temptations and became victor in the hour of temptation. Our victory comes as we rely on the Bible to give us strength, courage, and power to do the right.

It is our joy to follow His example. Watch and pray so that you will overcome temptation.
